Searles Horticultural Mix-Ins Charcoal is a lightweight organic material used to improve drainage and airflow in potting mixes.
When blended with potting mix, Charcoal helps airflow in potting mixes, improving airflow around the plants root system. Charcoal also helps reduce odours and absorb impurities in mixes. By retaining moisture and dissolves nutrients within the root zone, charcoal helps reduce nutrient leaching, providing a more balanced potting mix environment.
Searles Horticultural Mix-Ins Charcoal is ideal for orchids, indoor plants, terrariums and specialty potting mixes.
Note: This charcoal product is to be used for horticultural purposes only and not suitable for use in BBQs or fire pits.
